This is a nice garment. The colors are fantastic. But remember that this really is dance wear, it is made for ease of movement. The fabric is light weight and too see-thru by its self. As a layer, over a leotard, it works well.

This book is outstanding if you are an accomplished seamstress. You can see what the author has done and your creative juices just start flowing. Tips on lace placement is excellent. The best book I have seen on boning. If you make formal gowns or wedding dresses this book goes so much further than the patterns - even Vogue. Great detail in the pictures in this book and construction techniques.

I got this book mainly for help with my own wedding dress, but I know it will be a great help not only with future wedding dresses for others, but also for any formal or highly structured garment I may make. The explanations and instructions are easy to follow and well illustrated. This was a pleasure to read and an invaluable resource for the garment sewer

This book is an invaluable reference for anyone who wants to take on the challenge of sewing a wedding dress; I constantly referred to it while making mine. The reader should have at least a basic level of sewing proficiency as this book is very specific to the sewing of formal gowns.

I have done a lot of sewing. I did make bridesmaid dresses and altered brides dresses. It was very interested to read about the different technics in the making of a good bridal dress. I hope I will get to make one in the near future and than I can use this book for the fine touches This book is not for beginners. Lucie Zandstra

The Susan Khalje book is an excellent source of its sort - not speaking of the nice design and pictures, it tells you everything you would want to know when trying to make an evening or wedding dress. Susan Khalje gives many interesting tips and tricks that would otherwise be very time-consuming to figure out, like how and where exactly to attach boning, what layers to use under skirts to make them look as you want to, how to work with lace and how to place it on the curved bodice while hiding the cut places, she gives suggestions as what fabrics to use for what garments - she is very fond of silk organza - for petticoats, underlining, bone channels. This is one of the rare books that show you professionally-done garments and reveal all their making secrets. Even if you're an advanced sewer, I still think you'll find many good tips here. Maybe a pure beginner would not be able to appreciate the value of the information given. Edit: To make it clear, this book is rather a collection of sewing tips that give your clothes a professional look than a step-by step sewing quide. If you already are a sewer and are longing to go pro and more into detail, this book is exactly what you need. It is supposed that you already know how to sew, draft and fit patterns and that you know how to put the garment together.

I have been looking for white shoes for some time. Accidentally I saw these shoes while searching on google. I ordered the shoes right away (even though it's a little pricey). But I absolutely LOVE them! They look great! So far I haven't wore them outside, but in the house they seem comfortable.
