The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day

I would give this seller negative reviews if I could. It took ten days before my item even shipped. My compliant went no where: I was told no cancellations and that I would have to pay for return if refunded. Thanks for nothing. Buyer beware.

I bought this on a whim, but it quickly became my wedding "bible." Just wish I had bought it when we first got engaged. It was as if Mindy was right there walking me through each step along the way. So helpful and fun. I loved the bits of wedding lore and trivia.

This book was given to me from my then future sister in law. It was the most Helpful gift I have ever received. I had only been to maybe 3 weddings before mine and had no idea what to do or where to start. This book has an answer to every question that came up. We had 60 guests at our wedding (including the bridal party). It's true that the book is aimed for larger weddings but it's not that difficult to just take the information you need and pair it down for a smaller wedding. I'm actually online right now to buy this book for my friends who just got engaged an hour ago!! Congrats Kenny and Meghan!!

When I got engaged, I almost had a panic attack about having to plan a wedding. I have done event planning before at work but had no idea what all needed to be done for a wedding... until I found this book. It is a great reference book for all things related to a wedding. From what questions to ask vendors, what the various types of veils are (birdcage? cathedral?), to how to write a thank you note. It also has instructions for things like how to preserve your gown, save the top layer of your cake, etc. I highly recommend this book to anyone planning a wedding!

This book is great and up to date guide for a wedding. It answers questions in a 2009 era. I can't think of a question we had that it didn't address. As the parents of the groom, we wanted to know as much as possible to help and participate in the planning of our sons' wedding. Mindy's book had all of the answers in a clear and practical way. Easy to navigate through, too.

Creating Beautiful Wedding Flowers: Gorgeous Ideas and 20 Step-by-step Projects for Your Big Day Creating Beautiful Wedding Flowers: Gorgeous Ideas and 20 Step-by-step Projects for Your Big Day

I've worked in the floral business for 10 years and found this book to have tips for the professional and projects which were easy enough for a novice to understand and attempt. That being said floral work is not easy and anyone thinking of doing their own wedding flowers should do a dry run six months or so before their wedding. See if you can make a bouquet, a corsage or a boutnonniere. It is not as easy as it looks. The pictures are beautiful which is what I look for in a craft book. This is a good book to have in your floral design library. It is filled with many ideas that most people can do with practice. It is also reasonably priced. I also liked this book enough to give it as a Christmas present to a florist friend.

This book had many good ideas and lots of pictures.I think you can make many styles of bouquets by simply changing the flowers that are used.

This is a very useful book if you plan on making your own wedding flowers. It has clear step by step instructions. Another useful, and inexpensive book is: "Creative Wedding Florals You Can Make by Terry L. Rye" I daresay that with these two books, you could start doing flowers for friends and so on. They are slightly different, but both are very well done and helpful.
